. . . . . . . . . . Who Are We? Eric is the one who does most of the work around here. He works part-time during the early morning shift at a certain specialty grocery in Chapel Hill and spends the rest of the day being Mr. Homemaker. He is an excellent cook and a great dad. Be nice to him because he can carry a bale of hay around like it's nothing - but he is a kind and sensitive soul who listens to folk and power metal while he works and enjoys role-playing games in what little free time he has. Eric is on the rede of our hof and is very good at doing woodburning, though he doesn't usually do it for fun. He will likely make you something if you offer him something he wants in return. One of Eric's complaints about modern Heathenry is that people tend to forget the "German" part of "Germanic" religion and focus on Scandinavia. As a man with predominantly German heritage he is interested in reviving the faith in the context of his own family's traditions. Ana, on the other hand, does most of her work in the classroom or at the office, though sometimes that office takes the form of a coffee shop or pub. She teaches mathematics full time at a nearby college and often is gone for long hours during the day and into the night. When home she tries to do her share of the chores, which include the early morning feeding and milking of animals. As an orderly and usually organized person, Ana has all the jobs which require significant planning and keeping track of things, like making sure everyone gets their wormer on schedule, determining the garden layout, and keeping the creditors at bay. She is on the rede of The Troth and during what little free time she has, she likes to work in the flower garden and make pretty things, like painted glass or colorful textiles. Her favorite free time activity, however, is playing with Alfie. Alfie is, at the time of this writing, just over 18 months old. He is always a joy to have around, with an outgoing personality and an infectuous grin. He loves the cats, and amazingly, Kenny soaks up all his attention and screeching. He likes to watch the goats out the window and pet dogs at the farmers' market. He enjoys building with his blocks, helping to unload the dishwasher, exploring outside and looking at flowers, which he always admires with the gentlest touch. He likes music, especially if it's something he can dance to, and he still is willing to eat just about anything. Eric and Ana both are interested in history. Eric is a member of the SCA and Ana considers historical textiles to be a hobby. Alfie has a shield with three ravens just like daddy's but smaller, and is in danger of becoming a history buff, as well.
